Rescue Task Force Training & CredentialingFOR TACTICAL RESPONDERS
THE TR-C EXAMINATION
Certified Tactical Responder (TR-C) was created in response to input from the SWAT tactical EMS community that non-paramedic, BLS functioning in tactical responses would benefit from a certification process like that of the Certified Tactical Paramedic (TP-C). The expectation for TR-C candidates is competency in tactical integration, threat recognition, casualty assessment, indirect threat care, triage, and rapid casualty evacuation in hostile and austere environments. TR-C candidates are law enforcement officers and BLS providers (volunteer and paid) who would deploy together in Rescue Task Force to provide point of wounding care. The certification focuses on decreasing preventable deaths at critical incidents by aligning with the three phases of TECC/TCCC.
The IBSC is proud to have been an integral part of emergency medicine transportation certifications for over 20 years.
MISSION OF THE IBSC
The mission of the IBSC is to improve the quality of the care delivered by paramedics and other healthcare professionals functioning in a specialty environment by measuring and validating their knowledge and skills. This is accomplished by providing a family of specialty certification exams that are an objective, fair, and honest validation of a unique domain of knowledge.
By offering the only specialty examination process of its kind, the IBSC offers validation of the best practices in care and creates a de facto National and International standard for critical care transport, flight paramedic, tactical paramedic, designated infection control officer and community paramedic practitioner.
